Back to Crackling Salt Cathedrals
By Daniel Lins - 2009-09-20

Peace,

As of Sept 6, 2009, the bike trip is over. We´ve spent 9 months in South America as a team, and ridden from Tierra del Fuego, Argentina to Lima, Peru. Chris, Mike, and Dan are back in the States. Daniel is still in South America.

The One Road South website will continue to be updated for the next two months, as the updates catch up with real life. Stay tuned, cause we´ve had some AMAZING experiences in Peru and Bolivia that we can´t wait to tell you about.

Here´s a brief message from each of us about our future plans.

-

Dan Wallace

"I am beginning my career as a science teacher, entertaining opportunities to work in public schools across the nation, as far away as Hawaii! I love to talk about the trip with people and tell all the cool stories to my students, who always ask where I’m headed to next! I usually reply with, "To work, so I can pay off my debt!"

-

Christopher Thompson

"I’m looking for a job and enjoying being home"

-

Michael Beris

"I´m preparing for my upcoming wedding with Heidi Johnson! And working."

-

Daniel Lins

"I´ll be backpacking around South America alone for a few months. Check my blog in english at http://trustfalling.blogspot.com or in spanish at http://caminandoconfe.blogspot.com.

Wow guys! I’m amazed at what you’ve pulled off these past months, and even more amazed that Daniel still wants more. Are you really writing each blog entry twice? And any plans to do Australia soon?

Dear One Road South,

The end is almost like saying farewell to an old friend. I have faithfully followed this amazing journey, always anticipating the next installment, personal blogs and spectacular photos/videos. Thank you for having me along on your adventure! I hope whatever your futures hold, may success, personal satisfaction and a life-long love for travel be abundant. God bless you all!

Love,

Mom Wallace
